This map is divided into eleven zones that determine the average annual temperature for that specific area. This map helps you dictate which plants will thrive in your location specific garden so you can guarantee a fresh set of crops. This map can also assist with annual plants, trees, shrubs and other greenery that can survive wintery climates or even extremely hot humid ones.
More on the map, the map is divided and sectioned by numbers. These numbers range from 2-10 and are calculate by the lowest average temperature for that area. These color coordinated areas are located across America (see reference picture). This map should help you determine which plants will survive your local winter season.
